The dramatically fierce competition, once restricted to the mobile phone segment is now rapidly spreading across the tablet PC market. No wonder, the $35 Aakash tablet has put a new meaning to the prevailing price-points by striking a ‘budget tablet war’. Consequently, new players are forced to settle down their tablets’ prices and margins.

Besides a slew of budget tablets being launched recently, one prevalent player that introduced the 23.11-cm (9.1-inch) screen tablet in the market, is coming up with two more affordable models in the next few days.

Go Tech’s FunTab tablet, going against the 17.74-cm (7-inch) and 25.4-cm (10-inch) tide of screen size, brought forward a unique 9-incher to the market.
